LG 39LN5300 LED TVThe 39LN5300 is one of two 39 inch sizes in LG's LED TV lineup for the 2013 year. Last year, ,we saw that LG still had a lost of LCD-flourescent CCFL models to choose from. That technology has been abandoned altogether. The LN5300 has LED backlighting for increased brightness and performance and also has 1080p resolution. Features like the Smart TV platform, 3D playback, and high refresh rate to get that price down to a much more reasonable level. It's still a nice quality piece and one of the top quality pictures you will find on a 39 inch LED TV this year.

60Hz Refresh Rate Processing

Although you are likely to experience some judder and motion blur with the LN5300's 60Hz processing it is normally not a big issue or that distracting on screens that are getting into the smaller sizes like this one.

Contrast Ratio

Though contrast is not listed as high as many of the the more expensive TVs in the lineup, the 39LN5300 won't show much of a difference in either actual quality or in appearance on the 39 inch TV size.

Bang for the Buck Summary

This is the second to top of the line 39” TV from LG for 2013 through 2014 and with so many lower end off-brands on the market today in the 32 inch size we need options like this for quality and features. The picture quality on this model is going to top any off brand value competitor out there. The price is very reasonable for a budget TV and there really isn't much in terms of quality competition.
