The KDL46HX850 is not a true replacement for its predecessor XBR46HX929 for the simple reason that the latter is still the premium product on the market from Sony even though it came out in late 2011. Pricing for the KDL46HX850 will run between $1999 and $2499 for this April 2012 release. The TV should be offered until late March 2013.
