LCD TV Buying Guide Commentary
The LE810 Series from Sharp also uses Four Primary Color technology. Adding yellow to the usual red, green and blue gives the new Aquos line of TVs the aility to display over a trillion colors. Sharp says this technology gives their TVs the ability to display all the colors that the unassisted human eye can see.
The LE810 series uses enhanced Fine Motion 120Hz frame rate conversion as opposed to the Aquo Motion 240Hz of the top tier LE920 series. The 120Hz and 4ms response time of the LE820 will still handle motion blur and at a price less than the flagship LE920. These Aquos televisions are equipped with the new X-Gen 1080p panel with LED edge lighting and shares the 1.6" depth of other new Aquos models.
Apart from just the depth Sharp is concentrating on TV aesthetics this year. The LC-52LE810UN features a full glass front panel that extends out to a slim, stylish bezel to provide a TV that looks almost as good off as it does on.
Aquos Net adds internet connectivity through the built in ethernet jack, Netflix streaming video will be available as well as online content from other providers.
