LG 47LGX Overview

Description: 47" HD LCD 1980 X 1366 Resolution

INTRODUCTION to LG 47LGX

The LG 47LGX is a winter 2008 TV model. The LCD has red trim visible on sides, top and around the stand of the TV. It has the exceptionally deep bottom portion cabinet where many of the electronic components must be stored to enable its stunning 1.8" depth. The LG 47LGX has 1080p resolution, True Motion 120Hz processing and all of the new LG technologies. It contains 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 4 HDMI inputs (3 in back, 1 on side).

LG 47LGX Review
Upconversion processing is so good in this TV that
an upconverting DVD player is unncessary.

At both HD and SD resolutions the picture performed admirably but there were a few issues we discuss in the full review.

Asthetically the 1.8 inch deep TV looks great, the anti-glare screen performs well and the remote and menus are both slick and user friendly

At close to $3000 this LCD competes with the Sony 46XBR8 which is priced much higher and the Samsung LN46A850 which is a little lower. Truth is, if you are looking seriously at this wonderfully unusual LCD TV then its probably going to be your choice as there is not much else out there with which to compare it.

Our Ratings for the 47LGX were as follows

PICTURE QUALITY RATING: 87/100
