VIZIO has annouced the new VL and VT series for release this coming summer. The VL Series consists of four new models ranging from 32" to 47" (VL320M, VL370M, VL420M, and VL470M). The VT Series consists of two new models, 42" and 47" (VT420M, and VT470M).
The VL and VT series models feature Vizio's Smooth Motion II technology, their branding for a 120Hz refresh rate. Boasting a 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, these LCDs should provide good black levels and work well in bright rooms. The claim is that the black levels will rival plasma but that remains to be seen.
Sound is handled by SRS Labs TruSurround which we have found in the past improves the sound from TV mounted speakers significantly.
Multiple HDMI 1.3 inputs will allow for connecting all your input devices and they also feature side mounted inputs for easy connecting of game consoles, camcorders and the like.
Vizio is offering a zero bright pixel guarantee on these sets which is a nice gesture that says they stand behind the quality of these products.
