SONY KDL-46NX800 Features Review

NX Series: Rising up from it's unique stand the Bravia KDL-46NX800 shows off Sony's new style they are calling "Monolithic Design". In an aim to combine style and substance Sony's new televisions command attention before they are even turned on. The thin look is achieved with the new LED edge lighting system found in many of Sony's 2010 line up. They also feature a 6° upward tilt for a more natural viewing angle (according to Sony). We were first confused about the purpose of the tilt when viewing the display at CES 2010. Has Sony found that a 6 degree tilt backward helps the viewing experience in some mysterious way? Is it there to prevent background glare? A thorough discussion with Sony representatives led to the conclusion that none of the above is true. It is an optional aesthetic feature designed to allow for low sitting TV furniture/stands. The TV will still yield the best picture performance from straight on squared up angles and the slight backward tilt allows this to occur from the the low furniture.

The 1080p screen features Sony's Bravia Engine 3 processing engine and MotionFlow 240Hz performance to lessen motion lag. Play back video from USB and DLNA sources or stream internet video with Bravia Internet Video and keep up with the latest news, sports scores and weather with Bravia Internet Widgets. Bravia Link communicates with other Sony devices for a seamless, intergrated home entertainment experience.
