Sony KDL46EX740 Review, LED backlit LCD TV | 3D, 1080p

The previous model to this was not our favorite picture quality wise, however we did really like the features this TV offered. The same is true with the new 46" KDL46EX740 – the similar 2012 version. It has a very nice looking bezel framing which is similar to last years in that it is less than an inch and has that beautiful classy looking appeal matte black finish. Sony is one of the only manufacturers to accomplish such a look in a mid-range TV.

Picture wise, the glare we encountered last year is somewhat better on this model and we appreciated the deep black levels that we see as a big improvement.

Features Review

Features-wise you do still have the option of 3D compatibility and all the Internet Bravia video options are all available, as well as a very full feature set such as a full web browser which is unusual in a mid-range TV like this one.
