Sharp LC-60LE847U Picture Settings Calibrations LC-70LE847U

Calibration for the LC-LE847U Line

by Robert Wiley, Senior Editor

A television in the process of being calibrated before we begin our review.

Calibration Notes: Movie and Standard Modes offer 10 point white balance. User mode only allows the 2-point white balance settings, but seemingly allows more flexibility within the 2 point system. This is probably because user mode allows more freedom for adjustments and Sharp is trying to somewhat constrain setting options. The LE847U series calibrated reasonably well to D6500K. We used the Movie setting and adjusted the 10 point white balance. Turn the Film Mode off for DVDs and Blu-Rays at least.
