Sharp Aquos LC-52E77U Calibration and Testing
Overview Review Specifications Calibration Shop |
Extended calibration Notes: (The Sharp units have a puzzling approach to white balance controls. The unit allows to pick from one of five color temperatures but then only allows adjustment to the GAIN (upper IRE) levels. This unit has a big BLUE push at the lower IRE and there was no way to actively adjust the balance. Compromises were made on the GAIN settings to attempt to reduce the BLUE push. We could only establish only a minor reduction on the lower light output without having a major impact on the upper light output. Overall the unit was significantly off of D65 at the lower end and close on the upper end.)
