Vizio VF552XVT Features Review

The XVT series from Vizio represents one of their higher tier televisions. Local Dimming LED back lighting improves contrast, black levels and color performance. The 240Hz specifications is reached by combining a 120Hz refresh rate with a scanning back light. This is not true 240Hz refresh rate but considering the effect these high refresh rates can have on the picture we're not so sure this is a bad thing. The local dimming LED back lights are arranged in 80 separate zones of control so the backlight can be used to darken scenes and give much truer black levels than LCDs and Edge lit LED LCDs are capable of.

The 2010 XVT series televisions feature built in wireless internet and a bluetooth remote with a slide out QWERTY keyboard for access to Vizio's new internet apps feature. This features gets you instant access to news, sports scores, weather, internet video and more. If you have a Netflix account you can watch streaming movies from Netflix directly on your TV. It works with amazon video on demand as well. The bluetooth feature is compatible with other bluetooth devices such as headphones.
