Toshiba 46G300U Features Review
New for 2010 are the G300 series of traditional CFL backlit LCD televisions from Toshiba. These televisions feature a 1080p panel with a fast refresh rate provided by Toshiba's 120Hz ClearFrame technology. We haven't been overly impressed with some of the effects that high refresh rate televisions can impart on the picture, however, when we were reviewing the Toshiba 46XV645U we found that the 120Hz effect on that TV was less jarring than it was on other televisions.
For gamers the G300 series has a game mode for lessening input delay, these modes work by bypassing some or all of the picture processing to lessen the delay from when a player makes and input and when they see it on the screen, this is a good feature that any serious gamer should look for when purchasing a television.
Aesthetically the 55G300 features a gloss black bezel that is a little wide for our tastes, especially in a year where bezel widths are getting smaller to emphasize the panel.
