Sony is attempting to hit your "green" nerve with an hyped up energy saving feature on this LCD. The unit has a new micro-tubular Hot Cathode Flourescent Lamp which help reduce power consumption. So on one hand, you have manufacturers touting their bright new LED back lit LCD TVs which consume more power, then you have Sony touting the older technology flourescent lamp as energy saving. They are even going as far as calling this 46" LCD TV an Eco TV. I guess the question I have is, Are TVs a great place to look for energy savings.

This TV does incorporate Sony's label for 120Hz processing called Motionflow. As discussed in the past this feature is great for sports programming but detracts from other types of programming especially filmware.
